Paint Your Own Polka Dot Wall Mural
Polka dots make fun wall decor and are a simple and inexpensive way to liven up girl or boy rooms. Gather the following supplies and follow the easy 1-2-3 instructions below.
Supplies:
White chalk or pencil
Acrylic craft paint or indoor latex paint
Circular objects of different sizes (e.g. metal cans, bowls, plastic containers)
Instructions:
1. First, paint the walls the background color and allow paint to cure completely, generally 24 hours after the final coat.
2.
Take your circular items and trace around them with chalk or pencil, spreading polka dots randomly around the walls. (Hint: Use chalk if the background color is dark enough to see a white outline. After you paint inside the circles and paint has dried, just take a damp paper towel and wipe the chalk away.
3. Paint polka dots in with desired color(s) of paint and allow to dry.
